Our Discovery Download puts the focus on a different genre each week, offering up a free track we think is worth your attention. Any recording that begins with an old-fashioned walking double bass line already sounds like a winner to us. Add suave yet understated drumming, crisp acoustic guitar comping, and, most importantly, singer/songwriter/pianist/guitarist Leslie Mendelson's spirited voice, and one gets a song that does indeed, as advertised, "Hit the Spot." Gliss On The New Now! Yahoo!

Gliss recently shot a feature at Yahoo! Music called "The New Now." They recorded 3 exclusive live tracks for the songs "Beauty," "Morning Light," and "Lovers In the Bathroom." More exciting Leslie Mendelson news! Our fave gal is currently on the west coast doing a slew of live radio shows to promote the upcoming release of Swan Feathers (out June 3oth). She's really hitting the spot with these on-air interviews and performances (see what we did there?).
