(Re) Introducing James Jackson Toth

Allow us to reintroduce to you the formidable and prolific talent that is James Jackson Toth. Or, at least, allow the formidable and prolific Stereogum to do it for us.
Stereogum has premiered the brand new video for "Doreen", a road-less-traveled tour through the American South. It's also the first single off Toth's solo debut, Waiting In Vain.
The album's twelve tracks go from haunting to playful (well, darkly playful) in an instant, and the song's characters will live with you as much as the melodies do.
Though Waiting In Vain is released July 29th, if you pre-order the album now at Insound -- on CD or vinyl -- you get immediate access to the entire album as downloadable MP3s, and the exclusive bonus track, "Hallucination".
And you should, as this is one of the year's best.
