Ryko is pleased to celebrate today's U.S. release of Seasick Steve's Man From Another Time.

The tale of Seasick Steve is that of an anomaly in modern recorded music – signed in his 60’s, the US-born musician came to see a platinum-selling album in the UK in 2007, become the oldest Brit Award nominee in history and the winner of Mojo’s Best Breakthrough Act.  A self-proclaimed hobo turned storytelling singer, Seasick Steve is now reviving traditional country-blues with an uniquely punk DIY aesthetic. Written and Produced by Seasick Steve, A Man From Another Time is a clean stripped-down raw exposure of man with riff, song and guitar.

A reformed country-western boy, but one that plays cigar boxes and diddley bos, homemade guitars with three strings, and pretty much anything he can coax that stomp-y, swamp-y bayou blues out of, Seasick Steve has shared his unique sound with the world.  From sold out London shows, to appearances at major festivals such as UK Reading, Leeds, Glastonbury (UK), All Points West (U.S.) and Fuji Rock Festival (Japan), Seasick Steve is proving he really is A Man From Another Time in these 12 new tracks that are as inventive as they are addictive.
